Abstract Magnetic phase coexistence in the substituted perovskite compound, La 0.4 Bi 0.3 Sr MnO 3 , is attributed to spontaneous moment and a step-like metamagnetic transition observed magnetization measurements its magnetically order state. The magnetism of samples reduced nanometer sizes by “top down” approach exhibits interesting changes with respect bulk, thus giving handle influencing physical properties reducing particle size. bulk sample orders ferromagnetically at T C = 295 K, whereas nano-sized range 21–30 nm, even though does not change, transitions are suppressed. powder show broad hump plot magnetic susceptibility, signifying possible disordered antiferromagnetic A systematic decrease magnitude shows that reduction interaction could be formation dead layer around core.
